When it comes to honoring and protecting Black life, we do not trust anyone from the cop on the street to the whoever is occupying the White House. America loves the police and most Americans are afraid of individual Black people more than armed militia or biker gangs—officialdom knows this and so do we. This is why Black people destroying property are thugs to be subdued, and the militia and bikers are quintessential Americans to be coddled and romanticized even when they wantonly kill or challenge state power. Everything about the NY Road Runners seeks to change this fundamental American reality.
